Privacy

This site has no accounts, no forms that collect personal data, no advertising and no third-party trackers. It sets no cookies. If you switch night mode on or off, that choice is saved only in your own browser.

Visit statistics

To understand our audience we record, for each page view: the hour, the country (worked out from your connection, not stored as an address), the page path, the website that linked to us (domain only), the device type (desktop, mobile, tablet or automated) and an anonymous daily counter.

The counter is a one-way hash of your network address and browser type combined with a random value that is replaced every day and then deleted. It lets us count unique visitors per day; it can’t be reversed to identify you or to follow you from one day to the next. We don’t store your IP address, your full browser details or what you search for.

Detailed records are deleted after 30 days. Daily totals are kept for up to 13 months.

Legal basis

We process this limited data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site. Because it can’t be linked to you, we can’t usually find or delete a specific person’s records, but you can contact us with any concern.

Security

Requests may be rate-limited or blocked to protect the service from abuse.
